Mainstream Models is an up-and-coming new Canadian modeling
agency that represents female models, male models, child models,
petite and plus size models of all ages. A full service modeling
agency, Mainstream Models can sign models in an exclusive
or non-exclusive manner.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BEWTEEN EXCLUSIVE
AND NON-EXCLUSIVE REPRESENTATION?
Mainstream Models represents models in either an excusive
or non-exclusive manner. If you are chosen to be represented
exclusively, Mainstream Models will take part in daily management
and promotion of your portfolio. We will work to promote you
in major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan,
Germany, Toronto, Vancouver, Singapore, Japan and more.
Non-exclusive representation provides entry level access
to the modeling industry. For models, this represents an opportunity
to be exposed to our clientele without feeling the pressure
of having to have a polished portfolio and a wealth of experience.
If you are a new model… talk to us. We know how difficult
it is to break into modeling… yet we also know that
if we don’t give new models a chance then how will we
find the next supermodel? Non-exclusive representation allows
new models to have exposure within our website and through
our media network in Canada and abroad.
If you’re just starting out or can’t break in
to the modeling world, contact us… let’s talk
and see if there is an opportunity of non-exclusive representation.

HOW CAN I BECOME AN EXCLUSIVE
MODEL?
To become an exclusive model for Mainstream Models, you
will need professional experience within the modeling world
and a portfolio that includes at least 5 quality magazine
or commercial work pieces.
DO NON-EXCLUSIVE MODELS HAVE
TO SIGN A CONTRACT?
Non-exclusive models are not required to sign a contract
with Mainstream Models. As a non-exclusive model you are free
to work with other agencies and book jobs outside of the agency.
However for the jobs that we book you for, there is a 20%-30%
commission fee.
IS THERE A FEE TO BE REPRESENTED
BY YOUR AGENCY?
No. We do not charge fees for representation. We earn only
the standard 20%-30% agency commission on work models perform
through our agency.
IS THERE A FEE TO BE ON THE
MAINSTREAM MODEL WEBSITE?
No and Yes. No, if you have professional modeling photos,
then there is no cost to be included on the Mainstream modeling
website. The photos cannot have any marks or promotions on
them. Yes, if you do not have professional photos of yourself,
we can provide you with your own personal modeling portfolio
and website at extra cost. Contact us to find out more.

you within 24-48 hours of submission.

Please submit your portfolio by email to talent@mainstreammodels.com.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN A CLIENT
IS INTERESTED IN ME OR WANTS TO BOOK ME FOR A JOB?
Mainstream Models will contact you by telephone to provide
you with the details of your booking. Please note that the
agency will contact you only when we have a definite booking
for you. The agency is simply too busy to contact models if
a client has only expressed an interest in the model, has
put them "on hold" or "on option", or
if the agency is in the negotiation stage of the booking.
CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT I WILL
GET A JOB?
No. No agency can guarantee work. Ultimately, the client
makes the final decision on whether or not a model is booked,
not the agency.
WHAT IF I DON'T LIVE IN
THE SAME CITY AS YOUR AGENCY?
That's okay. That is the nature of the modeling business.
Models travel constantly and are used to working under these
conditions. Clients know that there is an additional cost
for transportation.
WHAT IS A DIRECT BOOKING?
If you are not located in the same city where the job will
take place or if the client books you based on your photos
only, the booking is considered a "direct booking".
This also means that the client will be responsible for your
travel and accommodation expenses so you can perform the job.
